Biography

I consider myself a child of different art. My father is a prose actor, my mother is a voice actor. Although theater has always been “at home,” partly by chance partly by will, life has pushed me ever more firmly toward the art of Euterpe, toward music.

At the age of seven I began piano study as a game with Tomoko Murakoshi who, glimpsing something I still had no idea about, prepared me for admission to the Conservatory. In 2008, I began my long attendance at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, my hometown. In 2016, I graduated in piano with top marks in the class of Silvia Rumi, whom I was lucky enough to have as a teacher since admission. Although a pianist graduated at the age of 20 I still felt all the mystery of music. I try various avenues to investigate it: the study of Composition and the Triennium of Conducting, both still at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory.

The meeting with Raffaele Napoli, a pupil of Sergiu Celibidache, and the study of Musical Phenomenology proved to be decisive. I thus discover not the meaning of music, but a road along which I can search for it. I clearly discover in conducting the orchestra the space within which the search can be pursued.

An avid opera listener since the age of 11, in 2015 I began studying opera singing as a baritone with Anna Catarci. I am currently specialising with bass Mattia Denti.

Parallel to music, I have always cultivated my humanistic education. After classical high school, I started attending the University of Milan. Following my high school passion, I graduated summa cum laude in History. Then I violently discovered philosophy. I discover that questions I was asking myself, especially about music and art, were also being asked by philosophers of the past. I therefore began attending the Faculty of Philosophical Sciences, eventually graduating summa cum laude with a thesis with a phenomenological slant. By now, music and philosophy come together and impose themselves as the two lights of my human investigation.

After so many discoveries, I realised that keeping them to myself would be selfish. So I started a dissemination activity, first live, then also on social media. Eighteen thousand constantly growing followers make me think that my discoveries are not just those of a single individual, but can be linked to those that each of us encounters along the way.

I am currently pursuing my activity as a musician, in particular as Maestro collaboratore and choir and orchestra director in various opera houses (Aslico, LAC Lugano, Teatro Fraschini, Fondazione ITeatri etc.).
